(5) remove certain labelling requirements for foods containing the high-intensity sweeteners, such as aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame-potassium and neotame; and (6) amend the legibility and location requirements pertaining to the mandatory statement on foods containing aspartame. | 2022-06-28 | - Food and Drugs Act | Regulations Amending the FOOD AND DRUGS REGULATIONS (SUPPLEMENTED FOODS) in order to (1) establish detailed conditions for the use of supplemental ingredients in food; (2) establish additional requirements on the labelling of supplemented foods beyond the general requirements in the Food and Drug Regulations for prepackaged foods; and (3) introduce minor consequential amendments to the CANNABIS REGULATIONS to continue to prohibit the use of foods described in Temporary Marketing Authorizations as ingredients to produce edible cannabis. | 2022-06-28 | - Quarantine Act | MINIMIZING THE RISK OF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 IN CANADA ORDER in order to (1) support Canada’s continued focus on reducing the introduction and further spread of COVID-19 by decreasing the risk of importing cases from outside the country; (2) continue to prohibit entry of foreign nationals, with some limited exceptions, and if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they have COVID-19, if they have signs and symptoms of COVID-19, or if they know they have COVID-19; (3) continue to exempt travellers who are fully vaccinated, those with a medical contraindication to a vaccine and unvaccinated children less than 12 who are accompanied by fully vaccinated travellers from the requirement to quarantine, as long as they have complied with all applicable measures; (4) continue to maintain all requirements for unvaccinated travellers subject to limited exceptions, to have a valid COVID-19 negative test result before entering Canada, to undergo testing when entering and once again later in the 14-day post-entry period, and to quarantine upon entry into Canada; (5) continue to permit the entry of fully vaccinated foreign nationals arriving for any purpose, as long as they have complied with all applicable measures, and unvaccinated foreign national travellers, if they meet one of the exemptions and are compliant with any applicable measures; (6) remove the additional enhanced measures for fully vaccinated irregular asylum seekers who arrive without a valid pre-arrival test and any unvaccinated accompanying dependants less than 12 years of age; and (7) remove the requirement for those subject to isolation, and who remain in isolation on board a cruise ship for the duration of their time in Canada to obtain permission from a Quarantine Officer to depart Canada | 2022-06-25 | - Special Economic Measures Act | Regulations Amending the SPECIAL ECONOMIC MEASURES (RUSSIA) REGULATIONS in order to (1) add six (6) individuals and forty-six (46) entities to Schedule 1 of the Regulations, prohibiting them from transacting business with individuals and businesses in Canada, and freezing their assets unless otherwise authorized by the Minister of the Foreign Affairs;
